Project Objectives:
The project seeks to meet the long-term objective of inclusive governance through participatory approaches in adaptative planning and climate resilience building. Inclusion of local stakeholders through various stages of ideation and project development along with capacity building can empower local government institutions and communities with improved decision making.
Project Outputs:
The outputs include identification of various aspects of long-term adaptation and mitigation and building flood resilience at the community levels. The outputs of the project include development of a protocol for assessing vulnerabilities and building adaptive capacities of local governments for carrying out risk informed disaster planning. The outcomes of this project will deepen the planning protocol developed and will capacitate local governments in the region for implementation and thus has the potential for larger strategic replication in similar regions.
