Abstract: Artificial intelligence presents both opportunities and risks for sustainable development. This seminar offers a preliminary, evidence-based exploration of the interlinkages between AI and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing these synergies and trade-offs. It also highlights how AI-driven analytics and high-resolution, geographically disaggregated data can improve policy responsiveness and enable more targeted, effective SDG interventions across diverse national contexts.
