The Ashank Desai Centre for Policy Studies at IIT Bombay will host the Data Dialogue organised in Mumbai on 18 March 2023 by The Google News Initiative, in partnership with DataLEADS. Data Dialogue is a pan-India data journalism training series that will be held in 20 cities across India in English and 10 Indian languages. The series—open for editors, reporters and journalism students—will empower participants to unlock the powerful world of data journalism using the best tools from Google and beyond to find, verify and tell engaging stories and connect better with their audience. The sessions will be led by data journalism experts and trainers from the GNI India Training Network and will focus on four key areas: data sourcing, cleaning, visualisation, and verification.
