Ashank Desai Centre for Policy Studies, IIT Bombay, and Azim Premji University are jointly organising a Policy Workshop on “National Education Policy 2020 and the Agenda of Higher Education Expansion” on 03–04 May 2023.
Aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and based on learning from other developed regions and countries, NEP plans to expand higher education and achieve a 50% Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) by 2035. This workshop aims to debate the meaning and implications of higher education expansion regarding equity, excellence, governance, and creating an inclusive future considering the diversity of higher education systems within the country. The Policy Workshop aims to bring together academics, policymakers and institutional leaders. The workshop’s outcome will contribute to developing perspectives and frameworks for higher education development in the country and states.
