About the Speaker:

M.R. Madhavan is co-founder and President of PRS Legislative Research.  PRS works towards making India’s Parliament and state legislatures more effective by providing research to legislators and informing citizens of the work done in the legislatures.

Madhavan earlier worked in investment banking at ICICI Securities, Mumbai, and Bank of America’s offices in Mumbai and Singapore.  He holds a B.Tech. from IIT Madras and has MBA and PhD degrees from IIM Calcutta.  He has been selected as a Distinguished Alumnus by both institutions.  He was awarded the Business Standard Social Entrepreneur Award 2019.
